6:30 pm rush hour traffic on Port Union Road

The cost of widening Port Union Road

Estimated by the City of Toronto, construction cost is $3,000,000 of taxpayers money.

What's not estimated is the impact on everybody - rush hour or not - of roadworks that could take a year to complete. And as far as I can see - there isn't any need for this project to take any precedence over real traffic problems elsewhere in Scarborough, or real community projects like expanding the Village Common area, or getting on with the Waterfront Trail, or restoring the old Morrish store at Meadowvale and Kingston Road .... and the list goes on.
